BREAKING: Dangote Refinery Reduces Aviation Fuel Price to ₦1,650 Per Litre

The Dangote Petroleum Refinery has officially reduced the price of aviation fuel (Jet A1) from ₦1,750 per litre to ₦1,650 per litre.
The ₦100 reduction is expected to bring some relief to airline operators who have struggled with rising operational costs driven largely by expensive aviation fuel.
Industry observers say the development could potentially reduce pressure on domestic airlines and may influence operational expenses within Nigeria’s aviation sector.
Aviation fuel remains one of the biggest cost components for airlines, and fluctuations in pricing often affect ticket fares, route operations, and overall business sustainability.
The latest adjustment by Dangote Refinery has already generated reactions among stakeholders, with many hoping the reduction could contribute to improved efficiency and possibly lower travel-related costs over time.
Since commencing refining operations, the refinery has continued to play a growing role in conversations around Nigeria’s fuel supply, pricing, and energy independence.
Many Nigerians and aviation stakeholders will now be watching closely to see whether the latest price cut translates into broader benefits for the aviation industry and passengers.
